This variety works for:

  • Fresh eating
  • Baking
  • Sautéing
  • Soups

Onions compliment a number of other vegetables. They are often used in stocks and soups and pair well with bay leaves, tarragon, rosemary, thyme, cumin, and coriander.

Caramelized onions offer a rich flavor without the heat or bite of a raw onion and can be used in soups, to top pizzas, or served over squash, mushrooms, or meat dishes.

You can also use onions in jams or marmalades for savory spreads on crusty bread. Add onions to your pickle recipes or roast them with apples.

Good flavor

by

This is my backup onion when I can't get my other seeds. It's a good all-around onion. I don't like fresh onions but do love them carmelized for burgers or added to other dishes. Like other onions, it requires loose soil. I generally plant my seeds a few weeks earlier than recommended because I like larger plants to plant outside. It makes it so much easier and I haven't noticed a difference in results at the end of the season.

Delicious and easy to grow.

It's mid February and we still have some Alisa Craigs that have stored well. Delicious onion that grows to a nice large size.

Impressive Onion

These are my favorite onions to grow. They are super large which is always fun but they're also tasty onions. They don't store for too long so we will usually chop and freeze them so we have onions through the winter.
